For years I've been asked; "where can I learn" and "how can I avoid this problem in the future".
And after having made my living repairing and servicing thousands of personal computers, I know first hand that most of them could have avoided time in the shop and the associated expense, if there were some easy way for the "regular" computer users/owners to learn how to solve and prevent computer problems.
I've scoured the web over the last several years looking for help for the "non-geeks", and although there are thousands of sites available for those who understand "geek-speak", as well as another thousand or so that advertise "for only $49.95" (or whatever they charge), there is little or no help available for the vast majority of the computer owners who need help the most.
Millions of people use music file sharing programs, millions also upload and view videos on YouTube, millions also use Google and Yahoo to search for everything including help. Most don't find help, of any useful sort.
